We’re looking for a talented and driven Communications and PR Manager to help us tell this story. This part-time role is central to how we engage our members, staff, media, and community partners.

You’ll lead our communications strategy and support marketing delivery across a diverse portfolio - from activism and student representation to retail, events and digital innovation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate team at a time of renewal, growth and creative energy. You’ll play a key role in supporting our Fringe Festival community engagement plan, amplifying the voices of our newly elected Sabbatical Officers, and ensuring our messaging is clear, inclusive and impactful.

The Role

  • Salary: £28,954 - £32,120 (pro-rata)
  • Hours: 22.5 hours per week
  • Contract: Salaried – Permanent

The Students’ Association’s Marketing and Communications team works to increase engagement with, and sales of, the Association’s activities (both on and offline) through the creation and delivery of effective communications, marketing campaigns and initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Communications & PR Manager has responsibility for all internal communications and external press & PR activity for the organisation’s varied activities. These span representation and activism, student activities, awareness and behavioural change campaigns, and commercial activity (e.g. events, retail and hospitality).

The role demands a solid understanding of communications principles, creative flair, and a professional approach to process and deadlines. The post holder must build and maintain positive relationships with many stakeholders, including colleagues, student members, the media and partner organisations. The Communications & PR Manager is required to produce fast and accurate work, undertaken with a keen eye for detail, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
