Summerhall Arts are looking for an Associate Producer to support the delivery of our year‐round programme, as well as playing a central operational support role in the Fringe. Summerhall Arts is a small arts charity based at Summerhall, Edinburgh's home for independent arts. We produce and programme year‐round theatre and live performance and operate one of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe's most distinctive and loved venues. We champion bold, artist‐led work and are committed to supporting artists at every stage of their careers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Associate Producer to join our team on a permanent basis. The Associate Producer will support the delivery of Summerhall Arts' year‐round theatre and live performance programme, while playing a central operational support role in the delivery of the Summerhall Edinburgh Fringe programme each August.

What is the Role? The role consists of artist/company liaison, producing support, programme/company administration, performance coordination as well as basic marketing delivery. Working closely with the Programming, Marketing, Technical, Press and Operations teams, the postholder will help ensure excellent communication, smooth project delivery, and strong audience‐facing presentation across both festival and year‐round activity.

The role is designed as a flexible, developmental producing position within a small arts charity, suitable for an early‐career arts administrator or producer seeking hands‐on experience across producing, programming support and festival operations.

Job Information

  • Working pattern: 2 days (16 hours) / week (Sep–Jun); increasing to 4 days (32 hours) a week (Jul); full‐time (40 hours a week) including some evenings/weekends during Edinburgh Fringe (Aug)
  • Location: Summerhall Arts, 1 Summerhall, Edinburgh
  • Salary: FTE of £30,368
