The Fringe Care Fest was created in August 2022 to provide professional performers from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for up to 20 care homes for residents within their care homes. The programme has grown from one home to 20 homes in 2026. The care homes are located throughout Edinburgh, the nearby Scottish Borders, East Lothian, and one in Dunblane. For many senior adults who live in care homes, it is often impossible to attend the Fringe. Therefore, the Edinburgh Interfaith Association (EIFA) and its seven major partners are bringing live entertainment from the world’s largest arts festival to 20 care homes in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas this August.
