Freelance Videographer sought to create short evaluation film (3-5mins) for Voicefest Club, an innovative community project with older people in Brechin, Angus. Filming dates 14 - 21 Sept 2026.

Voicefest Club is an innovative community project created to tackle loneliness and social isolation among older residents (aged 65+) in Brechin. For our local Elders, many of whom feel a bit isolated or excluded, this project aims to allow them to be heard in very practical and real way at the heart of their community.

We launched our initial 8-week pilot phase on 3 August 2026. Every week, our members gather for a relaxed 1.5-hour singing workshop led by our vocal tutor, Debra Salem. In the latter part of the project timeline, members will learn three new songs written and arranged by acclaimed Scottish singer Horse McDonald. The project finale is an in-person workshop with Horse, followed by a live public sharing session in Brechin Cathedral on Saturday 19 September as part of Voicefest 2026.

We want to team up with a filmmaker who can capture the true, authentic heart of the project. We are looking for a frank, compassionate look at the challenges older residents face, told entirely in their own words, while celebrating how singing together helps them feel connected again.

This short film will be a key part of our project evaluation report. We want to share this journey closely with our core partners and supporters, including the National Lottery Community Fund, Corra Foundation, and Angus Council, to show them the real human impact of their funding.
