Role Overview
We are seeking a Board Support and Compliance Officer to deliver top‑quality executive support to the Board and Committees, act as the primary point of contact with the Library’s Board, undertake all board‑related administration and manage the demands of the complex compliance environment for the organisation. The role requires a focus on first‑class delivery of Board support and the monitoring and management of the Library’s regulatory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive support to the Board and Committees.
- Act as the primary contact for the Library’s Board.
- Handle all board‑related administration.
- Manage compliance across the organisation.
- Monitor and manage the Library’s regulatory responsibilities.
- Support all Board and Governance matters, reporting to the National Librarian and Chief Executive.
Qualifications
- Strong track record in board support and governance.
- Excellent organisational, diplomatic, and professional skills.
- Proven high‑level minute‑taking ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong multitasking and deadline‑management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and project‑management skills.
- Experience in a cultural, educational or charity setting is advantageous.
