Bard in the Botanics is looking for an experienced Assistant Director to work alongside Jennifer Dick on her production of John Webster’s The Duchess of Malfi, staged in the Kibble Palace as part of this year’s Bard in the Botanics summer season.

Job Description

  • Assist the Director in delivering her vision for the production.
  • Provide support for the Director in the rehearsal room.
  • Attend all rehearsals, including technical and dress rehearsals.
  • Attend production meetings as required.
  • Run rehearsals when the Director is not in attendance, on occasion.

Contract dates: Wednesday 24th June – Friday 17th July (inclusive).

Essential Requirements

  • Applicants must demonstrate experience as a Director, Associate Director, or Assistant Director on a professional production.
  • Applicants must have a base in Glasgow for the duration of the contract, as relocation costs are not available.
