We are seeking to engage an Assistant Choreographer to work on \’13 The Musical\’ and \’Honk Jr\’ with our Youth Theatre groups from August 2025 to March 2026.

We are seeking to engage an Assistant Choreographer to work with Falkirk Youth Theatre from August 2025 to March 2026. During this time, you will assist our resident Choreographer with the chorography for the production of ’13 The Musical’ being staged in Grangemouth Town Hall in November 2025, and the choreography for ‘Honk! Jr’ being staged in the same venue March 2026.

This is a freelance position for someone with proven experience and passion for working in Youth Theatre, and the ability to choreograph to a high standard whilst developing the skills and confidence of young people.

The post holder will be responsible for

• Working closely with the resident Choreographer and keeping open lines of communication
• Leading warmups to ensure safety of participants
• Preparing choreography in advance when instructed by the Resident Choreographer
• Working with smaller groups of young people on dance sections
• Attendance at all rehearsals and performances
• Creating a positive working environment of mutual respect for all parties

Rehearsals are on Sundays 10am -4pm in Grangemouth Town Hall
August commencing 17th August 2025 through to 15th March 2026.
13 The Musical Dates – 21/22 Nov 2025
Honk Jr Dates – 20/21 March 2026

Person specification

• Proven experience in dance and choreography for large scale theatre productions
• ability to work individually and as part of a team
• ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
• a genuine interest and passion for the role of Youth Theatre
• Full clean driving license preferred

Payment will be £20 per hour based on 5 hours per week.
Fee for show weeks £600
