An established integrated agency is looking for a commercially driven Managing Director to lead their growth. This is not a purely operational leadership role. The agency already has strong specialists and departmental leaders in place. What they are looking for is someone who is naturally commercial, proactive and growth-focused. Someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities, opening doors and helping drive agency momentum.
The business has an established client base and strong retained relationships, but like many agencies, continued success depends on consistently generating new opportunities and replacing project revenue as campaigns conclude. The successful person will be commercially aware at all times. They will enjoy networking, building partnerships, creating opportunities and helping ensure the agency continues to grow year after year. Bringing new business into the agency will be part of their remit.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a commercially driven agency environment and enjoys the challenge and energy that comes with helping shape agency growth:
- Driving agency growth and commercial performance.
- Building senior client and partner relationships.
- Identifying opportunities to open new revenue streams.
- Maintaining strong visibility of pipeline, forecasting and commercial performance.
- Helping ensure a consistent flow of new opportunities into the agency.
- Leading commercial conversations, pitches and strategic partnerships.
- Working closely with specialist departmental leaders across the agency.
- Helping shape the long-term direction and growth strategy of the business.
The agency is looking for someone who brings:
- Strong commercial instincts and a genuine growth mindset.
- Experience helping agencies win work and generate revenue.
- A proactive, energetic and opportunity-focused approach.
- Confidence building senior relationships and opening conversations.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with commercial awareness.
- An understanding of integrated marketing and modern digital communications.
- A naturally driven and entrepreneurial personality.
Who this role isn’t for…
- MD’s with pure network agency backgrounds
- MD’s with no track record of agency growth
