We’re working with a growing B2B agency looking to strengthen its digital offering with the hire of a strong Account Director with a digital bias. This is a client services role rather than a hands-on activation position, although practical experience across paid media would be highly valued.
The key requirement is someone who can confidently lead digital conversations with clients, shape strategy, challenge briefs constructively and oversee the delivery of complex digital campaigns across multiple channels. For the right person, there is also a genuine long-term opportunity to grow into a future Head of Digital position.
You’ll sit at the centre of client relationships, strategy and delivery, helping clients navigate increasingly sophisticated digital campaigns and platforms. The agency delivers work across:
- Website design, development and management
- PPC
- Paid social (particularly LinkedIn campaigns)
- Google Search and Display
- UX and digital workshops
- Global digital campaign delivery
There is also exposure to broader integrated campaigns beyond digital, although this is not essential for the role. You won’t be expected to personally execute every campaign element in-platform, as specialist support can be brought in where needed. Instead, this role is about being commercially and strategically confident enough to lead conversations, guide clients and ensure campaigns are set up for success.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading digital client relationships and strategic conversations
- Taking, shaping and challenging briefs
- Managing delivery of digital campaigns across multiple channels
- Working closely with internal specialists and external partners
- Supporting clients with campaign planning, performance discussions and digital direction
- Helping clients understand the nuances of global digital campaigns
- Identifying opportunities to grow accounts and digital services
- Supporting wider business growth and agency development
What they’re looking for:
Essentials:
- Agency experience in client services / account handling
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and campaign delivery
- Confidence discussing digital strategy with clients
- Ability to challenge briefs positively and think commercially
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience running PPC and paid social campaigns
- LinkedIn paid campaign experience
- Experience with Display or Programmatic
- Broader integrated marketing experience beyond digital
Why this role stands out:
- Opportunity to shape and grow the agency’s digital capability
- Clear progression potential towards a future Head of Digital role
- Flexibility around level: strong SAM or established AD
- Supportive, collaborative agency culture
- Interesting B2B clients and complex campaign work
- Hybrid working (2 days office based) and excellent benefits
