Freelance Interiors Art Director - high-end aesthetic
Location: London (Hybrid)
A distinguished home and lifestyle brand seeks a freelance Interiors Art Director with a keen eye for still life, styling, and studio-based interior photography.
We are looking for someone adept at making understated products feel unique and distinctive. You will be confident in developing innovative approaches to photographing tactile items such as cashmere and slippers, translating these concepts into photography, short-form motion, and stop motion.
Note: This is a specialised role focused on interiors art direction, not a broad brand design position. Your portfolio is the most critical element of your application.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative concepts for home and interiors photography
- Lead studio interior shoots
- Create premium product and lifestyle still-life imagery
- Craft compelling storytelling through photography and motion
- Direct shoots and oversee visual development
- Maintain a refined and consistent brand aesthetic
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in interiors, home, or premium lifestyle art direction
- Expertise in beautifully styled studio photography
- Strong conceptualisation of product and still-life imagery
- Confident application of composition, texture, and lighting techniques
- Experience leading and managing shoots
- Familiarity with motion or stop-motion production concepts
- Work aligned with a calm, understated premium brand aesthetic
