Our client is a leading entertainment games company who are currently looking for a talented Senior front-end HTML Developer to join their dynamic team. Studio offices are located in the Oxfordshire area, and they are offering full remote working with occasional meetings in the office.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced frontend developer who will be responsible for implementing and tuning high quality, optimised, maintainable code within a framework, ensuring the best user experience imaginable. If you have a background in developing mobile/desktop games and software then this is a major plus.
Responsibilities
- You will have the ability to work as a part of a team responsible for the development of mobile/desktop games, liaising with the creative department to ensure that what you deliver is optimal, on-time and defect free.
- You will collaborate with designers and other developers to ensure that games are performant within their platform and operable on all platforms, mobile and desktop.
- As an experienced developer you will have worked on a variety of highly available applications and have experience collaborating with engineering teams around the world to design and maintain ground-breaking features.
- You will be continually excited by technology advances and innovations.
- You will have the experience and knowledge to contribute to technology decisions and architecture discussions, advocating for engineering best practices across the teams you work with and acting as a mentor to junior members.
- You will have excellent communication and analytical skills with an ability to think on your feet, with a Mobile-First development mentality.
- You will be comfortable with facilitation and planning tools such as Jira and Confluence as well as having a propensity for learning new tools and technologies to enhance your skillset.
- You will bring a wealth of experience in developing using modern frontend technologies and be able to lead and inform on best practice in terms of overall development practices.
Qualifications / Skills required
- 5 years experience working with HTML5 and TypeScript in a mobile and desktop environment.
- Experience with PixiJS, Phaser or other JavaScript gaming/animation frameworks.
- Proficient knowledge of animations techniques using WebGL or Canvas 2D APIs.
- Solid experience working with source control platforms and tools such as GIT and SVN.
- Knowledge of CSS, PostCSS, and SASS/SCSS.
- Knowledge of CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap etc) and responsive design techniques.
- Passion for technologies and a desire to remain up to date with the latest skills.
- Ideally a maths, statistics or physics background, or 3D development experience.
- Excellent knowledge on platform specific and cross platform capabilities and constraints.
- Experience with JavaScript build tools (e.g. Gulp, Vite, Rollup).
- Have the ability to analyse and understand frameworks and functionality to ensure optimal experiences within a mobile-first development approach.
- Experience with logging and analysis tools to quickly diagnose errors (Elasticsearch, Rollbar, Sentry).
- Great communication skills as a core member of an internationally-based team.
