Freelance Product Designer – Finance / Banking industry – Hybrid Manchester, UK

Rate: £500 per day (via Umbrella)

Hybrid: Typically 3 days per week in Manchester office / 2 Remote

ASAP start with up to October 2026 (with potential extension)

Right to work in the UK required (no sponsorship available)

We’re looking for a Product Designer with strong content and UX design skills to help shape intuitive digital experiences that attract, engage, and educate investors. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team to deliver thoughtful, user-centred design solutions for a public-facing website.

What you’ll do

– Design and prototype in Figma using a robust Design System (Storybook)

– Collaborate across teams to understand customer needs and create accessible, user-friendly designs

– Translate complex investment and financial concepts into clear, plain-English content

– Produce and adapt different content types (microcopy, marketing, help, instructional) across digital journeys

– Support research activities by helping shape test plans, prototypes, and insights

– Lead design reviews, ensuring alignment with product, compliance, and legal stakeholders

What we’re looking for

– Proven experience in Product Design and Content Design, ideally in finance or another regulated industry

– Strong understanding of accessibility, UX principles, and Agile delivery

– Experience in the Finance field with experience working with Data / figures

– Skilled in Figma, Storybook, and ideally AEM for content management

– Familiar with GOV.UK content standards and writing for accessibility
