We're recruiting on behalf of a leading media organisation for a Freelance Podcast Producer to join the team behind a flagship daily news show. This is a genuine end-to-end production role with full editorial ownership on weekends — you have final say on content, quality, and output every Saturday and Sunday. Contract is up to 6 months, starting ASAP.
What You'll Be Doing
- Running end-to-end production of a flagship daily news podcast — planning, recording, editing, and delivery to tight deadlines
- Taking full editorial and production authority on weekend broadcasts — content, quality, and output decisions are yours
- Editing and mixing broadcast-quality audio in Adobe Audition (EQ, compression, cleaning noise, dialogue levelling, LUFS mastering standards)
- Editing video content in Adobe Premiere for distribution on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and social platforms
- Managing video shoots including camera setups, lighting, and sound
- Collaborating with hosts, guests, and producers to develop compelling episode content and storylines
- Monitoring platform analytics to refine content strategy and maximise audience reach
- Staying ahead of trends in podcasting, video production, and cross-media storytelling
What We're Looking For
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition — essential
- Solid grasp of podcast and video production workflows, start to finish
- Experience producing and optimising content for YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts
- Confident working with genuine independence and accountability — especially on weekends
- Strong communication, project management, and deadline management skills
- Filming, lighting, and sound equipment experience
- Weekend availability is non-negotiable — Saturday and Sunday are core working days
- Open to all levels — Junior, Mid, and Senior producers are all encouraged to apply
