A great opportunity to work with a creative agency based in South Yorkshire as a Lead Animator / Motion Designer.
About the Role: You’ll lead animation projects end-to-end, mentor two talented animators, and collaborate with illustrators, freelancers, and clients to deliver animations that make a difference. You’ll also help shape workflows and pipelines, and occasionally contribute to digital and print design.
Responsibilities:- Lead 2D (and some 3D) explainer-style animation projects
- Manage and coach a team of two animators
- Create or collaborate on storyboards, characters, and assets
- Deliver animations that clarify complex topics (2–5 mins)
- Engage in client meetings and represent the creative vision
- Stay on top of trends, tools, and animation techniques
- 5+ years of animation experience, ideally in 2D explainer content
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and other industry tools
- Strong storytelling, character animation, and illustration skills
- Experience managing creatives and collaborating with clients
Pay range and compensation package: Salary: Up to £40K. Hybrid: 4 days remote / 1 day in studio per week (South Yorkshire based).
