We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly creative Art Director to join a leading advertising and marketing agency based in London. Their clients are global luxury, fashion and lifestyle brands. They work 4 days in the London Studio with 1 day remote. This position requires strong art direction, shoot experience and creative skills within the premium fashion space.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and conceptually driven Art Director to work under the Creative Lead in developing high-level marketing, advertising and social first campaigns for a range of high fashion clients. This role requires a strong strategic mindset, the ability to ideate at a conceptual level and translate ideas into visually compelling executions. Expertise in graphic design, typography, and layout across both print and digital platforms is essential. The Art Director will collaborate closely with senior leadership, project managers, and external partners to ensure campaigns are not only visually striking but also strategically aligned with the brand’s creative direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and drive innovative creative concepts for seasonal campaigns and large branded initiatives under the guidance of the Creative Lead and Chief Creative.
  • Ideate at a highly conceptual level, ensuring strong alignment with client strategy and brand objectives.
  • Present creative work to the Creative Lead and Chief Creative with clarity and confidence.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of current trends in colour, fashion, technology, and other design influences to inform creative decisions.
  • Execution & Art Direction
    • Conceptualize and art direct high-level photo shoots, ensuring strong visual storytelling and seamless execution.
    • Comp images to bring conceptual ideas to life visually within presentation decks.
    • Collaborate with design counterparts to ensure continuity across category lines and areas of focus.
    • Create compelling presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts both visually and verbally.
    • Apply skills across a broad range of creative executions, extending beyond 2D design to ensure adaptability.
  • Collaboration & Team Leadership
    • Brief and collaborate with external partners, ensuring the execution of campaigns meets high-quality standards.
    • Share knowledge, experience, and expertise with design staff to foster team growth and elevate creative output.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Proven experience in art direction, graphic design, and/or copywriting, with a strong foundation in concept development.
    • Proven ability to meet the aesthetic and taste level required to work with high-end luxury fashion brands.
    • Deep understanding of typography, layout, and design principles for both print and digital media.
    • Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
    • Strong ability to communicate ideas effectively—both visually and verbally—to diverse audiences.
    • Expertise in industry-standard design tools and software.
    • A keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of branding, marketing strategy, and visual storytelling.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptionally high creative standards.
