We have a great opportunity for a creative Packaging and Brand Designer to join a leading manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of products to include, toys & games, gifts, homeware products. Their offices are based in the Essex area and they are working fulltime
(5 days) in the studio. Offices have onsite free parking.
The Role and Responsibilities
Concept Development
- Develop original visual concepts and ideas that align with project objectives, brand guidelines, and target audience preferences.
- Effectively communicate creative ideas through compelling visual narratives.
- Create aspirational and innovative packaging designs across various brands.
- Design graphics for print, digital, social media, marketing and advertising platforms.
- Produce layouts, graphic assets, and typographic solutions from concept to final execution.
- Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all creative outputs.
- Prepare and produce final artwork as needed, aligned with brand and project requirements.
- Maintain and update artwork templates to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
- Serve as a brand guardian, upholding corporate and brand guidelines in all creative work.
- Implement and maintain standards for product and corporate branding.
- Ensure creative alignment with partner asset packs, brand toolkits, and guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align creative output
- Assist in planning and coordinating creative projects with key stakeholders.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Maintain an organised archive system and adhere to approved artwork storage procedures.
- Ensure all design work complies with brand guidelines, quality standards, and timelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices to continuously enhance creative capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with well-known brands and licensed properties.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Designer packaging & branding role.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Expertise in AI image creation.
- Strong visual design skills with a deep understanding of colour, composition and typography
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of packaging technology and print production processes.
- Proven ability to balance creative excellence with business and project requirements.
- Some experience in Adobe XD and After Effects.
- Experience with photography and image editing.
- Understanding of digital marketing strategies and associated design requirements.
