Job Summary: CMT London is seeking a high-calibre, proactive, and versatile Business Operations Assistant to support the effective day-to-day running of the business across operational, administrative, and commercial functions. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable contributing across multiple areas of the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating business operations while actively supporting sales and business development initiatives.
- Responsibilities will include assisting with workshop and installation activity, supporting driver and fleet engagement, managing supplier interactions, and contributing to internal processes and reporting.
- Engaging with prospective and existing stakeholders, supporting outreach efforts, and identifying opportunities to drive growth and strengthen client relationships.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in both operational execution and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities- Business Operations and Coordination: Support the day-to-day running of workshop and field operations, ensuring smooth coordination of installations, maintenance, and driver visits. Assist with scheduling, tracking, and reporting of installation activity across both London sites. Maintain accurate internal records, ensuring data integrity across operational and customer systems. Liaise with internal teams to ensure alignment between operations, customer support, and commercial activities. Identify inefficiencies in processes and proactively implement improvements to enhance operational performance.
- Sales Support and Business Development: Actively support the promotion of CMT’s payment solutions through direct engagement with drivers, fleet owners, and partners. Assist in identifying and progressing new business opportunities through on-site presence, outreach, and referrals. Follow up on leads and stakeholder interactions to support conversion and onboarding outcomes. Contribute to onboarding activities, ensuring new drivers and partners are effectively introduced and activated on the platform. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, stakeholder engagement, and pipeline development. Work closely with senior team members to support ongoing commercial initiatives and growth strategies.
- Customer Support and Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a professional and responsive point of contact for drivers, fleet owners, and partners. Provide high-quality support across operational, technical, and general enquiries, ensuring timely resolution. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships through consistent communication and a service-led approach. Proactively engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery. Escalate complex issues internally while maintaining ownership of communication and follow-through.
- General Business Support: Provide administrative and organisational support across the business as required. Assist with supplier coordination, stock management, and general business logistics. Support internal reporting, documentation, and compliance-related activities. Contribute to a positive, professional, and high-performing working environment.
Qualifications and Experience: Prior experience in a business operations, administrative, customer-facing, or commercially supportive role. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner. High energy levels, a proactive mindset, and a ‘go-getter’ attitude. Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business growth. Comfortable working in a hands-on environment, including regular interaction with operational workshop activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Positive, adaptable, and reliable, with a strong work ethic. Full training will be provided.
