“We’re so excited to launch this bursary with our friends at the William Morris Gallery and IntoUniversity, to help open doors for the next generation of artists in our home of East London. Inspired by Morris’s beliefs and dedication to craft, it’s about giving young creatives the chance to pursue their dreams, even when the system feels closed to them. At House of Hackney, we’ve always believed that business can be a force for good; that profit, at its best, is energy that should circulate back into creativity, community and Nature. This bursary is one way of putting that belief into practice.” - Frieda Gormley, House of Hackney Co-Founder
Working in partnership with William Morris Gallery and IntoUniversity, the programme will connect young people with local opportunities in art, craft and design, helping them develop their skills and confidence while building community connections.
Applications for the 2026 bursary will open in January 2026, with recipients announced in the Summer.
