Established in 2007, The Jacky Winter Group is a creative production and representation studio with offices in London, New York and Melbourne. Representing over a hundred commercial artists working across a diverse range of specialised branches and partnerships, we solicit and produce thousands of creative briefs a year, catering primarily to advertising agencies, brands, publishers, and design studios.

We are looking for a Production Intern to join our UK team for a two-month, part-time paid internship. This position will see you working closely alongside our London team, as well as remotely with our production teams in New York & Melbourne. This is a two-day-a-week (Tuesday & Wednesday) internship position running from late July through to late September, based at our central London co-working space.

Whether you are a recent graduate looking to gain some valuable insight into the inner workings of some of the world’s most visible campaigns and creative projects, or looking to expand your existing skills in arts administration or account service, we welcome all enquiries from qualified applicants.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for organisation and a curiosity for creative project management to deliver results of the highest standards. Your professional tone, combined with a sense of humour and passion for the creative industry, will make you a valued partner to our represented artists as you maintain regular contact with them to source new work both for our portfolio and marketing purposes.

On any given day, you might be:

  • tagging and updating artist records in Airtable,
  • identifying new agency and brand leads to add to our CRM,
  • researching upcoming awards and industry events,
  • assisting with client-specific outreach decks in Pitch,
  • adding newly live work to artist folios,
  • packing and shipping promotional materials,
  • retrieving items from storage,
  • finding interesting artists and suppliers to share with the wider team for consideration.

You will also be asked to perform research and educate yourself on a variety of topics ranging from how to apply for a permit to paint an outdoor mural to finding the best printing partner. You will be sourcing quotes and engaging third parties and contractors while becoming an expert in a variety of disparate fields; gathering, filtering, interpreting, reporting, and ultimately acting on results.

While we strive for a genuinely relaxed and good-humoured atmosphere and work with an incredibly diverse range of creatives, we value people who can employ a finely tuned sense of intuition and emotional intelligence to modulate their tone and behaviour for the appropriate situation. We must also stress that this is primarily a production and administrative support position.

General skills required:

  • Basic knowledge and appreciation for our represented artists and ventures.
  • Good time management and a demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and research skills.
  • Good foundation in communication and listening skills, and an interest in continuing to develop these skills further.
  • Comfortable using common organisational tools (such as Slack, Google Drive and Airtable).

Mandatories:

  • Legal status to work in the UK.
  • Proficiency in the MacOS and iOS operating systems.
  • A demonstrated and active passion for visual art and/or the strange and wonderful world of advertising.
  • Proficiency in Pitch and Figma and confidence using pre-designed templates to create presentations.
  • London-based or able to commute to London two days a week.
  • You’ll need to bring your own laptop. MacOS preferred, in line with our team setup.

Hours & Location:

This is a part-time role of two days per week (9.30am - 5.30pm on Tuesday & Wednesday) based in The Exchange co-working space at Somerset House.
