COSMIC is releasing our first zine, and we want talented contributors like you involved.

We\’ll be taking pitches in two categories, both to be released in a Winter 2025 zine.

TORCHBEARER: Big worlds, big ideas. The bold, ambitious, high concept projects (or voices) that light the way.

SUNCATCHER: Shimmering romance, cutesy fantasy, funny sci-fi, and queer romance with emotion stakes.

Pitches can be in the following categories:

  1. Original short graphic novel pitches (think 5-10 pages)
  2. Funnies comic strips (think 1-3 pages)
  3. Excerpts from published or pre-published graphic novels
  4. Excerpts from webcomics
  5. Features/interviews focusing on exceptional talent
  6. Features focusing on exceptional media – what have you been watching or playing lately?
  7. Standalone illustrations
  8. Graphic novel design/formatting pitches

What happens if you get selected?

  • You\’ll work with our editors to develop your pitch
  • You\’ll join a discord with all the other contributors
  • You\’ll have the opportunity to attend workshops and parcipate in podcast interviews
  • All project copyright will remain with you! All we ask for is non-exclusive publishing rights
  • You\’ll get a contributors share in anything the zine earns
  • A percentage of profits will go to a charity of the contributors\’ choice
