Responsible to: Head Baker

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Production Baker to support the daily operations of a busy bakehouse. This role is ideal for someone with strong baking experience who is ready to take on a lead role, ensuring Creative Gardens high-quality products are consistently produced while working for the head baker and also supporting the wider bakehouse team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Helps lead day-to-day baking tasks as per production list and instruction from head baker
  • Mixing doughs, batters, and pastry
  • Helps with oven management and baking schedules
  • Supporting the Head Baker
  • Training more junior staff

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a professional bakery environment
  • Strong knowledge of bread, pastry, desserts and cake production
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings
  • Available to work 5 days per week, approx. 40 hours
  • Formal baking or culinary qualification
  • Experience using commercial bakery equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g. HACCP)
  • Passion for baking and the Creative Gardens Food Co brand
