Our client, an established real estate investment firm, is seeking a Property Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, gaining hands-on experience with a growing portfolio of properties. Hybrid work schedule (4 days in office near Reading, MA). What You’ll Do as a Property Accountant: Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements , including balance sheets, income statements, and variance reports. Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals . Assist with budgeting and forecasting for assigned properties. Work with property managers and asset managers to resolve accounting-related inquiries. Maintain and update records in Yardi . Support the year-end audit process and collaborate with external auditors. Qualifications: 2+ years of property accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles . Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
