As a Regional IT Manager at Creative Education Trust, you will be a trusted technical leader who brings clarity, confidence, and direction to our academies. You combine hands-on technical expertise with the ability to build strong relationships, guide local IT teams, and champion high-quality, customer-focused service. You thrive in a role where no two days are the same - balancing operational oversight, project delivery, and strategic improvement across multiple sites.

You will excel in this role if you:

  • Communicate with ease and professionalism, adapting your style for senior leaders, teaching staff, technical colleagues, and external partners.
  • Approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, using strong analytical skills to diagnose issues, identify patterns, and implement effective solutions.
  • Bring a proactive, organised, and self-motivated approach, with the ability to prioritise confidently and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Take pride in delivering a reliable, secure, and user-centred IT service that supports outstanding teaching and learning.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Service Management experience (such as ITIL) or equivalent practical expertise gained in a similar environment.
  • A strong background in network/IT support roles, including experience leading or managing an IT service desk.
  • Proven experience managing IT budgets, projects, contractors, and multi-site workloads.
  • Solid technical knowledge, including:
  • Microsoft Server and desktop operating systems
  • Service desk systems and ticket management
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance day-to-day operational needs with longer-term improvements.
  • The IT department is dedicated to providing excellent IT support and customer service to both our schools and Head Office staff. The Regional IT team will lead academy IT teams, ensure a customer-focused IT service, while interfacing with the central IT Team to resolve technical issues, support central IT projects, manage budgets, key systems, and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The IT department contributes to Trust-wide IT projects, such as network migration for academies joining the Trust’s central infrastructure, the ongoing expansion of the Trust’s Office 365 platform, and other central systems.
