Salary: MPS - UPS £34,069 - £52,835 & TLR2c (£8,611)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: 32.5 hours, 52 weeks

About You:

Weavers Academy are seeking an ambitious and passionate English specialist to join our leadership team as Assistant Director of Learning (English). This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring classroom practitioner to make a significant impact on students' learning experiences while helping to shape the future direction of English across the academy.

You will be a committed educator who believes in the transformative power of English and is driven by a desire to ensure every student can access a rich, challenging and engaging curriculum. Whether developing innovative teaching approaches, supporting colleagues to refine their practice or championing high expectations in the classroom, you will be eager to contribute to a culture of excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Director of English, helping to lead a talented team whilst remaining firmly rooted in the classroom. We are looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, embraces new ideas and is motivated by seeing both students and staff succeed.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status with a track record of achieving good outcomes for students
  • Experience of curriculum development and assessment design
  • In-depth knowledge of English curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
