Contract Type: Part-time, Fixed-term (3 years)

Hours: 28 hours - 35 hours per week (4-5 days, subject to available funding)

Salary: £28,000 FTE (£22,400 pro-rata) - £30,000 (subject to available funding)

Work Location: CodeBase, 37a Castle Terrace, EH1 2EL, Edinburgh, with flexibility of hybrid working (minimum 2 days in office)

Start date: To be agreed with the successful candidate. No later than August 2025.

Creative Edinburgh is a registered charity that supports the creative community in Edinburgh. Our community of over 6,700 members is made up of freelancers, SMEs, students and start-ups. Through our events, creative initiatives and mentoring programmes, we connect creative makers and thinkers from across sectors, encouraging them to share their stories and skills. We help creative people connect and thrive by:

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a strategic and creative Edinburgh-based professional with strong programme management experience in the creative, cultural or education sectors. You will lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of Edinburgh’s Creative Industries: Pathways to Careers, a new three-year pilot programme supporting recent creative graduates to launch and sustain freelance careers in Edinburgh. You’ll work closely with local universities, colleges, the City of Edinburgh Council, and industry partners to co-design a high-impact programme of mentoring, events, and workshops. This role is vital to building meaningful pathways into Edinburgh’s creative economy and helping early-career creatives thrive.

What will you be doing?

  • Design and deliver a tailored, graduate-focused pilot programme in partnership with local education and industry partners
  • Recruit and support participants, and establish a cohort of Creative Talent Ambassadors
  • Deliver a mix of in-person, hybrid and online learning, mentoring and networking opportunities
  • Build sustainable relationships across higher education, government, and the creative industries
  • Act as Creative Edinburgh’s lead representative for the project at sector events and forums
  • Develop budgets, funding proposals, evaluations, and impact reports
  • Foster cross-sector learning and champion the voice of early-career creatives in Edinburgh
