Creative Diversity Network (CDN) is a UK non-profit organisation dedicated to placing equality, diversity, and inclusion at the heart of television. Founded by major UK broadcasters, CDN works across the industry to improve representation on screen and behind the scenes. The organisation uses its Diamond diversity monitoring system and data (#DiamondData) to drive evidence-based change and accountability. CDN collaborates with broadcasters, production companies, and industry bodies to share insights, influence policy, and support inclusive practices across the television sector.
About the role: Creative Diversity Network (CDN) is developing a new and improved version of its diversity data collection tool and research programme, Diamond. To make sure the changes work for the TV community and support a smooth switch, we’re developing partnerships, running sessions, and making resources for cast, crew and creative companies across the UK. We are also working on plans to enable and encourage participation once Diamond is live.
We’re looking for an organised, people-focused Television Industry Engagement Officer to collaborate on partnership, outreach and education activities with:
- broadcasters
- production companies
- post‑production companies
- unions
- trade bodies
- industry bodies
- staff
- cast
- crew
What you’ll be doing:
- Building relationships with all groups that will be using Diamond: cast & crew, production companies, post‑production companies, industry bodies and broadcasters
- Strengthening organisational partnerships across the industry
- Driving engagement and education activities and approach
- Planning and delivering meetings, workshops and events
- Being Diamond’s friendly first point of contact
- Keeping diaries, logistics, actions and timelines running smoothly
- Capturing detailed notes, actions, and insight summaries from sessions
- Preparing agendas, briefings, presentations and key project materials
- Creating welcoming, inclusive and accessible environments where people feel comfortable sharing feedback and experiences
- Collaborating on varied engagement activities and pitching in across the project as needed
