We are currently recruiting for a UX UI Graphic Designer to join our fast-paced agency based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. CDA exists to make digital, human. We’re a full-service digital agency specialising in software development, eCommerce, customer experience and digital marketing. We value simplicity, avoiding complexity and jargon.

This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate responsible for crafting engaging user journeys across digital platforms, specifically eCommerce websites and software.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented individual to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work closely with our project managers, developers and client stakeholders to produce intuitive, user-centred digital experiences, turning business requirements into elegant design solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Transforming requirements into responsive wireframes, mock-ups, and designs that deliver clear, user-friendly experiences across all devices and screen sizes.
  • Designing thoughtful interfaces to increase user engagement and conversions.
  • Conducting and applying user research to enhance digital experiences.
  • Staying updated on design trends, tools, and best practices in UX/UI digital product design and eCommerce best practice.
  • Creating brand collateral across online and offline, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main purpose of this role is to manage multiple software projects through the project life cycle, being responsible for supplier management, project scope, budget, quality and resources. You will lead the scoping of software development projects including wireframing using Balsamiq Mockups and/or Figma and writing detailed technical requirement specifications documents.

You will be expected to run structured discovery and scoping sessions with clients, capture functional and non-functional requirements, and produce clear and comprehensive technical specifications. You will also guide internal teams by sharing technical best practices, ensuring consistent delivery across all projects.

You will communicate effectively with internal Project Managers, Designers and Delivery teams to produce projects on time and in budget and will be expected to work with clients to capture their requirements, answer technical questions and facilitate projects.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in user journey design.
  • GCSE’s minimum grade C/4, including English & Maths.
  • Degree in Graphic Design (or a relevant field).
  • Good understanding of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge in After Effects is a strong bonus, but is not a necessity.
  • A solid understanding of user experience and UX processes.
  • Strong understanding of mobile responsive design and mobile experience.
  • Strong Knowledge of eCommerce CRO.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and ideas across online and offline.
  • Ability to lead scoping sessions with both internal teams and clients.
  • Good customer and stakeholder management skills.
  • Located within a 1-hour commute of Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
SALARY

Salary dependant on skills and experience. Private health and dental cover.
