We're working with a leading creative agency looking for a world-class Executive Creative Director. Not a traditional ECD. Someone who understands that creativity, technology and brand experience are no longer separate disciplines. The future isn’t just about beautiful design or clever ideas, it’s about building brand worlds, products, tools, systems and experiences that move seamlessly across digital, content, AI and physical touchpoints.
We’re looking for someone from a design background (UX/UI / digital experience) who has evolved into a leadership role and is now operating at the intersection of brand, technology and AI.
A modern ECD in this environment:
- Is deeply curious about AI, generative design, creative automation, spatial computing and emerging workflows
- Doesn’t just understand these tools — but is actively experimenting, pressure-testing and embedding them into how teams work
- Can make AI a genuine creative and operational advantage — improving thinking, craft, speed and output
This role is about:
- Leading design thinking, creative sprints and internal hackathons
- Building a culture of constant experimentation and improvement
- Asking: what can we build? what can we automate? what can we prototype?
- Turning ideas into repeatable tools, systems and methodologies
It’s a 90% leadership role — your job is to raise the standard of the entire agency, not design everything yourself. You’ll also be a top-tier client-facing leader — someone who can hold a room, simplify complexity and inspire confidence at the highest level.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Part storyteller
- Part technologist
- Part product thinker
- Part cultural strategist
- Part team architect
Someone who understands: taste and systems, craft and speed, brand and behaviour, ideas and implementation.
Ideally, you’ll have worked in environments similar to: Fjord, R/GA, Huge, AKQA, ustwo or Publicis Sapient.
If you’re excited by the idea of helping build a truly AI-centric, innovation-led creative agency — I’d love to speak.
