Our Metrowest retail client is looking for a Copywriter with 3+ years\’ experience for a long-term contract onsite 2-3 days a week in the Metrowest. The Copywriter will ideally have either retail or consumer goods experience, and a passion for storytelling. Projects will include web, email, product descriptions, video and commercials, and social media. Previous experience with packaging, print and product descriptions is an absolute must for this role.
Day in the life
- Work closely with creative and product teams to write effective copy to drive sales and interest
- Create copy for product descriptions, print campaigns, packaging, landing pages, social media posts and ads, etc.
- Revise and edit existing copy
- Work with producers to write scripts for commercials/infomercials
- Organize ideas in a way that is easy to communicate to the teams you\’re directly collaborating with
- Develop work that is on strategy and on brand
Qualifications
- 5+ years professional experience as a Copywriter
- Ideally working on an in house branding or marketing team
- Ability to effectively communicate with across multiple departments (creative, production and producers, marketing)
- Detail oriented
- Previous experience writing for consumer goods/products
- Must have experience writing for packaging
- Experience with social media, video scripts a big bonus
