Behind the scenes, our state-of-the-art equipment includes the largest compression moulding presses in the UK, robotic cells, 5-axis CNC machines, conveyorized paint lines and advanced assembly fixtures.
As Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be given primary responsibility for the management of all electrical systems, preventative and reactive as well as playing a key role in exciting new projects.
Duties:
- Managing mechanical, electrical repairs and breakdowns whilst avoiding downtime to ensure manufacturing efficiency is maintained.
- Working on single and 3 phase electrical systems, inverters, drives, relays, PLCs, motors, robots.
- Interpreting electrical drawings to aid fault finding.
- Proactive planning and reactive maintenance across an automated plant.
- Project work to improve machine availability and reduce downtime.
- Identifying problems on machinery/equipment and carrying out effective repairs.
- Ensuring a safe and clean working environment is maintained.
- Liaising with external service engineers and contractors as required.
Requirements:
- You must be a trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with experience in industry.
- Experience of Fabrication.
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with PLCs is highly desirable.
- Previous proven electrical experience.
- Excellent time keeping record.
- Able to work towards set targets.
