The Role

We are hiring a UK-based Health Coach to support patients before and throughout GLP-1 treatment. Doctors prescribe the medication. You ensure patients are clinically screened, supported, monitored, and progressing safely. This is a clinical digital care role, not generic lifestyle coaching.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured video consultations prior to prescribing
  • Review intake forms, medical history, contraindications and safeguarding risks
  • Identify red flags (e.g., pancreatitis history, thyroid cancer risk, pregnancy risk, eating disorders, psychological concerns)
  • Ensure identity verification and documentation accuracy
  • Escalate appropriately to prescribing clinicians
  • Ongoing GLP-1 Monitoring
  • Monitor patients daily via digital platform
  • Track weight trends, appetite changes, nutrition adequacy and mood
  • Support safe titration readiness
  • Identify early warning signs requiring review
  • Maintain structured, regulator‑ready documentation
  • Side Effect Management
  • Provide structured protocol‑based guidance
  • Escalate complex or high‑risk cases to doctors promptly
  • Document all clinical decisions clearly
  • Behaviour Change & Retention
  • Deliver structured lifestyle coaching alongside medication
  • Support muscle‑preserving fat loss and long‑term adherence
  • Determine appropriate touchpoints (weekly/monthly reviews)
  • Take accountability for patient engagement and satisfaction
  • Clinical Governance & Collaboration
  • Work closely with prescribing clinicians
  • Follow defined escalation thresholds
  • Participate in case reviews and quality audits
  • Operate strictly within defined scope of practice

Requirements

  • UK-based
  • Registered healthcare professional (Registered Dietitian, NMC, HCPC, GPhC or equivalent UK regulator)
  • Experience in obesity management or GLP‑1 therapy
  • Comfortable conducting video consultations
  • Strong understanding of contraindications and side effect management
  • Clear clinical judgement and escalation awareness

Working hours: Full‑time (40 hours per week) preferred, but open to discussing 30 hours per week

Salary can be reviewed in 6 months based on growth.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in telemedicine or CQC‑regulated services
  • Training in motivational interviewing or behavioural change
  • Experience working within structured clinical SOPs
  • Familiarity with digital health platform
