Carer in Barnsley

Creative Care and Support are seeking compassionate Care Workers in the S70, S71, S72 and S75 areas of Barnsley.

We are particularly interested in applicants who are able to drive.

Creative Care and Support is a Barnsley-based company providing home-based care and support for vulnerable adults in the local area. We have a reputation for delivering high quality care and support which respects the needs of the people we serve. A reputation built on the skills and commitment of our staff.

Working hours: Our service provides care 7 days a week, 365 days year, between 06:00 – 22:00. We welcome applicants who seek both full-time and part-time hours. We have morning runs available between the hours of 7-11 am, evening runs between 6 – 10 pm and weekends.

We offer flexible zero-hour contracts where you can choose to work as many hours as you\'d like with every other weekend included.

Location: Barnsley S70, S71, S72 and S75

Key Responsibilities of a Care Worker:

• Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
• Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required.
• Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks.
• Building positive relationships with individuals and their families.
• Supporting emotional well-being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
• Respecting confidentiality and always maintaining professional boundaries.

What You Will Need:

• A caring, compassionate approach.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience preferred but not essential – full training provided.
• UK Driving licence and own vehicle is preferred
• Alternative weekend availability
