Senior Designer (Brand & Systems) at Zak Group

Zak Group is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to work with the Creative Director and team on branding and identity. The ideal candidate thinks in systems, crafts original artwork carefully, and has strong brand design and typography skills. As a senior, you'll show strong execution, mentor junior staff, and lead concept development and systems.

The studio leads with creative direction and works with design-office discipline across and beyond traditional boundaries. Projects range from cultural institutions to global brands and often span print, digital and spatial formats at once - the role involves building brand worlds beyond a logo or mark.

What you'll be doing

• Conceptualise and execute high-fidelity ideas across symbols, logos, logotypes, lettering, type design and illustration, using varied image-making techniques
• Translate concepts across strategy, experience, motion and digital
• Build flexible visual systems that adapt across media, rather than fixed static applications
• Lead visual mood boards, brand tone, imagery and style guides
• Create clearly structured client presentations
• Hire freelance creative collaborators from different disciplines as projects require
• Work across 2D graphics, motion and graphic systems

What we're looking for

• 6-8+ years of graphic design experience at a creative studio or agency
• Strong brand design and typography skills, and the ability to think in systems
• Experience mentoring junior staff and leading concept development
• 3D experience is a plus but not essential

What's on offer

• Salary: £50,000 - £65,000, depending on skills and experience
• Work with leading brands and support for long-term development
• Full-time role, in-house at the London office
• 33 days' holiday a year (25 days' annual leave plus UK public holidays)
• Summer Fridays in August
• Pay progression based on performance and development
