We are looking for a Client Partner to join our Public Sector team! This role is initially on a 12-month fixed term contract, with potential to become permanent.

A bit about Torchbox: We build digital products for international NGOs, governments and universities; and we created Wagtail CMS, used by Google, NASA, the NHS and thousands more. What we’re looking for: We are seeking an experienced Client Partner to join our team. You might currently be a Product or Delivery Manager, or a Client Lead Digital Consultant in a digital agency. Even better if you’ve managed projects working to the government Service Standard. You’ll have strong experience of helping clients develop and implement effective digital services and interventions.

You will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their digital strategies align with their goals.
  • Lead combined multidisciplinary and client teams through exploration, experimentation and implementation, drawing on relevant research, design and technical approaches.
  • Support a combined client & project team to work in agile, iterative ways for the best outcomes.
  • Act as a navigator through relevant sector standards and shared resources.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Facilitate conversations and workshops confidently, ready and willing to get hands-on with collaborative and multidisciplinary work.
  • Support teams in understanding what’s needed to translate policy intent into viable digital products or services which can be operated effectively.

Core responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and working together to realise positive outcomes.
  • Strategic Leadership: Guide clients in developing and implementing strategies that realise valuable outcomes and improve public services.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the planning and execution of digital projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth within existing client accounts, and lead pitches and proposals for new clients and projects.
  • Performance Analysis: Utilise quantitative and qualitative insights to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and recommend improvements.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in an Account, Product or Delivery Lead role or similar with a focus on agile, user-centred service and product development.
  • Strong understanding of Service Standard approaches, user-centred design disciplines and iterative methods.
  • Excellent client management skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in presenting to clients and stakeholders.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving successful digital initiatives.

The application process: The closing date for this role is Tuesday 18th February. The application process will consist of 3 stages:

  • Submit your CV and a covering letter demonstrating your expertise.
  • 30-minute first-stage interview, we will ask you more about your previous work experience and skills. You’ll also get a chance to learn more about Torchbox and the role.
  • A 90-minute panel stage interview, will be a panel interview with 3 members of the team. We will delve more into your experience and ask you some competency-based questions. During this stage, we’d like you to complete a 10-minute presentation, we will send you details in advance.
