Creative Assembly is looking for a Senior Development Manager to join our talented team to work on our new project, a sequel to Alien: Isolation.
This role will be based at our studio in Horsham, UK and can be offered as hybrid role within country of employment. Further details can be discussed during the recruitment process.
The Role
You will work with cross-discipline leads and other Development Managers to balance scope with capacity, track progress, implement and improve processes, people management, and mitigate risks while upholding and maintaining a quality bar.
What you’ll be doing
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Facilitate teams of developers running them through their project life cycle stages
- Be accountable and drive the delivery of your strike teams and assigned key processes
- Oversee planning, execution and delivery of work assigned to the teams you are responsible for against project schedules, identify production risks or constraints, and troubleshoot dependency problems
- Facilitate communication between the project teams, leads and other producers
- Actively optimize and improve work methods and tracking and database management to drive team efficiency
- Stay aware of industry standards, both in terms of methodology and quality, and help team members stay on par or ahead of them when necessary.
What we are looking for

- Experience in development management (ideally in the games industry)
- Demonstrable project management skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
- Motivated individual with the capacity to learn new skills, use new tools, and meet new people
- Knowledge of production management software tools – Atlassian is essential, but ideally also Miro, Perforce, and PowerBI
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience of planning during pre-production
