The Role
Creative Assembly is looking for an experienced Senior Brand Communications Manager to join our Survival team based at our studio in Horsham, in the heart of West Sussex. In this new role, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the communications strategy and oversight for the Survival Brand Team and our upcoming title. You will partner closely with the Creative Assembly and Sega Publishing teams to build a strategy that supports the wider brand, business and campaign goals and oversee the execution of that plan in collaboration with key stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity where you will have the opportunity to help establish and continue to shape the core messaging, tone and approach across various areas of the brand and marketing campaign at its different phases.
Key Responsibilities
- As a central voice in our brand’s storytelling, you will collaborate closely with brand, publishing teams and development teams to develop a cohesive story for the campaign and its audience touchpoints.
- You are forward thinking and proactively look for opportunities to innovate and push boundaries as to where our team can challenge ourselves and take a unique approach to ensure our voice remains distinctive and impactful yet can adapt to meet audiences where they are.
- Lead Global Communications Strategy: develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies across campaign stages, ensuring unified messaging across various disciplines including, but not limited to PR, creator and brand initiatives.
- Work with development disciplines to help convey and communicate product features and updates externally.
- Collaborate with creative and brand teams to develop corresponding campaign assets and ensure that cohesive messaging is maintained across various channels.
- Serve as primary liaison and manager for external agency partners and publishing to help support PR and creator planning and execution while ensuring alignment with broader brand and campaign goals.
- Partner with Publishing teams to ensure product marketing campaigns and go‑to‑market plans align with long term goals and objectives for the broader campaign narrative.
- Contribute to creating campaign materials including press releases, brand copy, video/social assets, creating scripts, briefing materials and marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with publishing PR teams to drive media engagement through press opportunities, interview management and support with coordinating assets and campaign materials.
- Work with Brand and Community teams to shape campaign messaging and content strategy to meet business objectives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact on behalf of the Survival Team to support in media related queries and crisis management.
- Lead event preparation initiatives in partnership with publishing teams and support execution of event participation.
- Contribute to budget planning processes and helping manage discipline related tracking.
- Ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder approval submissions as needed.
- Coordinate post‑campaign reporting and insights.
What we are looking for
Essential
- 7+ years of experience in gaming, technology or entertainment fields with a wide remit of knowledge in communications, community and PR disciplines.
- Strong ability to tailor communication appropriately to the audience.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing global communication strategies and managing multi‑channel marketing campaigns.
- Proficient in handling crisis scenarios, delivering media training, and coordinating proactive response plans with key stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in crafting impactful messages and thorough attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of gaming trends, media landscape, and community dynamics.
