CAA Sports represents more than 3,000 of the world's best athletes in various sports, including baseball, football, hockey, basketball, and soccer, as well as coaches, on-air broadcasters, and sports personalities. Beyond traditional athlete representation, CAA Sports provides unique opportunities for clients off the field, in areas such as entertainment, licensing, endorsements, speaking, philanthropy, publishing, and video games. CAA Sports also works in media rights, property sales and sponsorships, brand consulting, venue development, strategic advisory, and executive search.
The Sports Business Affairs Executive’s role is to support CAA’s Sports Agents and Executives on business and legal issues arising from a wide array of commercial transactions, including endorsement agreements, representation agreements, commission agreements, brand consulting, event production, services and contractor agreements, and other general corporate matters. This role will primarily support our Munich, Germany office but will be based in London. The incumbent must therefore be business fluent in both German and English. They also need to be thorough, detail-oriented, flexible, self-driven, and collaborative.
Although not an exhaustive list, responsibilities will include the following:
- Monitor legal developments and update template documents to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Support the CAA Sports Business Affairs group’s overall goal of increasing organisational efficiency and achievement of business objectives in a manner that minimises legal risk.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail/accuracy.
- Ability to manage time effectively, working independently and as a team to meet demands of the organisation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
