OVERVIEW
As the Senior Finance Analyst, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a key role in supporting the finance activities for the continually growing Sports department. The role has a wide range of responsibilities and will require someone who can work accurately and to tight deadlines. Teamwork will be essential, and an inclusive attitude is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work alongside the Revenue Accountant in preparing and distributing revenue invoices.
- Review of revenue contracts for invoicing and financial reporting considerations.
- Credit control (including timely invoicing and follow-up of outstanding amounts).
- Maintenance of the debtors ageing report, including working with the systems team to improve this report.
- Key person in preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of month-end journals.
- Preparation of month-end flux analysis, particularly on debtors’ recovery.
- Monitor the Booking Report (revenue related) email address alongside the revenue accountant and timely processing of new deals onto revenue trackers.
- Process and control implementation.
- Documenting process notes for all relevant processes.
- Support the business partner in preparing budget and reforecast tasks.
- Ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of transaction processing into the financial system – Microsoft Dynamics 365 and revenue trackers.
- Liaising with project managers to ensure project budgets are up to date.
- Perform calculations, analyses, and reports as requested by the Financial Controller or Finance Director (UK & International).
- Play a supporting role in the annual statutory audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules.
- Support the Financial Controller or Finance Director (UK & International) in ad-hoc projects/tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent, ideally with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Must be comfortable with multi-tasking.
- Should ideally be passionate about Sports.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail and great organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to be a team player with a conscientious and motivated attitude.
- Strong knowledge of Excel e.g. V lookups and Pivots.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 desirable.
