Overview
In this role you will provide day-to-day employment advice to international HR teams and business leaders, drafting key employment documents and policies, and guiding best practices across multiple jurisdictions. You will collaborate with global legal and HR partners to support growth, risk management, and compliant people practices in a fast-paced, cross-border environment. Your work will influence workplace culture, mobility, and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at a leading global agency that values collaboration and proactive legal counsel.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice on employee relations, compensation, performance and disciplinary matters, immigration compliance, and employment agreements
- Draft employment-related documents and policies; support regulatory compliance (including pensions) and disputes/litigation
- Identify legal risks and advise on mitigations; escalate to Senior Employment Counsel when needed
- Collaborate with UK, US, and global legal and HR teams; liaise with outside counsel as required
- Educate and train business partners on policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality
- Manage projects end-to-end with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Support cross-border, multi-jurisdictional employment initiatives and ad hoc tasks as needed
Key requirements
- 7+ years of substantive UK employment law experience; private practice preferred and in-house exposure essential
- Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)
- Strong academic background with relevant degrees
- Experience with wider European or Asian employment law beneficial
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work extended hours and manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Detail-oriented with strong drafting and transactional capabilities
