Join to apply for the Client Trust Supervisor, Publishing - Finance role at Creative Artists Agency. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will support finance activities for the growing CAA business. Accurate work and tight deadlines are essential.
Responsibilities
- Maintain quality and integrity of Client Trust processes; develop and streamline policies.
- Build collaborative relationships with key clients; improve payment and invoicing processes.
- Ensure client setup procedures are followed, including independent bank account verification.
- Log contracts and issue invoices for payment.
- Chase payments from Publishers/Co-agents on a monthly/quarterly basis; escalate where necessary.
- Identify and breakdown bank receipts to NY and London accounts; record to deal and invoice logs.
- Process fees to CAA US.
- Prepare commission payments; reconcile approved amounts to local logs.
- Prepare reports including outstanding contracts and current/past dues.
- Assist with miscellaneous client queries including projected income, payments, and tax.
- Co-manage the Client Trust Publishing Accounts team day-to-day.
- Prepare and submit tax forms to relevant publishers/co-agents; 8802 applications and territory tax forms.
- Set SMART objectives and perform annual staff appraisals.
- Assist Financial Controller with ad hoc projects.
- Complete reporting and analysis of commission transactions and cash collections.
- Maintain financial schedules and ledgers in compliance with company policies.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.
- Review and approve bank payments to clients; prepare supporting documentation.
- Assist with annual statutory audit and annual budget/reforecast.
- Identify areas for continual process improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the Publishing Industry in an Accounts position.
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with conscientious and motivated attitude.
- Good Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables).
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP desirable.
- Key stakeholder management experience required.
- Proven ability to manage a team and ledger.
- Thrives under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivation and time-management.
