We are seeking an experienced and dynamic National sales manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth in solar and battery storage installations, this role will be based from our head office in Peterborough so if not from the area you must be able to relocate. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record ideally in a direct sales environment or sales management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage sales operations, develop strategic initiatives, and foster a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to facilitate communication with diverse client bases. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing sales and marketing targets, mentoring staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained across all channels.
Duties
Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve organisational objectives through effective management and coaching.
Recruit and train new sales team members.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company goals to expand market share.
To ensure sales targets are met on a monthly basis.
Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
Oversee direct sales management activities.
Manage customer relationships, negotiate contracts, and identify new business opportunities.
Organise training programmes to enhance team members’ skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service.
Ensure excellent communication with clients via phone and in person, maintaining high standards of phone etiquette and organisational skills.
Supervise administrative tasks related to sales operations, including scheduling, record keeping, and reporting.
Coordinate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies that increase lead generation and appointment rates.
Manage time effectively across multiple projects whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Experience

Proven management experience within direct sales or sales environments, with a focus on supervising teams.
Demonstrable expertise in sales management, leadership, and team management roles.
Prior experience in organisational planning is advantageous.
Strong communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency are highly desirable.
Experience in administrative functions related to sales operations is preferred.
