Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Dental Nurse role based in Lymm. The Dental Nurse will support dentists and other clinicians during treatments, including preparing the surgery, setting up instruments and materials, and ensuring infection control standards are consistently met. Daily tasks include assisting chairside, maintaining accurate patient records, sterilizing equipment, and organizing appointments and clinical notes. The role also involves providing patients with clear post-treatment information, helping ease anxieties, and contributing to a calm, caring environment. The Dental Nurse will work closely with the wider team to ensure smooth practice operations and a high standard of clinical care.
Qualifications
- Recognized Dental Nursing qualification and current registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g., GDC or equivalent).
- Experience in chairside assistance, infection control, and clinical record-keeping in a dental or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide reassurance and clear information to patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, follow clinical protocols, and adapt in a busy practice environment.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability in managing time, equipment, and documentation.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development; experience in cosmetic or restorative dentistry is an advantage.
- Basic IT skills for managing digital records and appointment systems; additional training in radiography or sedation nursing is beneficial.
