About the role and team: We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable engineering leader to embed within a client team. This role blends deep technical expertise with leadership and consulting skills. Whether your focus leans more towards line management and broader leadership (Tech Lead) or technical depth and delivery excellence (Lead Engineer), you will play a pivotal role in shaping solutions and guiding best practices on a high-impact initiative.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take ownership of technical work in the Paid Marketing / Audience Experience space, contributing directly to code and architecture while remaining fully hands-on in delivery.
- Implement and maintain Google Tag Manager (GTM) integrations, ensuring accurate data collection, consent handling, and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Deliver high-quality front-end features in React, integrating seamlessly with GTM and maintaining strong standards of performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Set up and maintain deployment pipelines, contribute to infrastructure automation, and bring curiosity about architecture and experience with different cloud solutions, including Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders at different levels, explaining technical concepts clearly and enabling informed decision-making across the team.
- Translate client needs into actionable solutions, balancing business value with technical feasibility.
- Provide line management for a small group of engineers, supporting their development and career progression. Foster a culture of feedback, coaching, and continuous improvement.
We’d love to talk to you if you:
- Strong experience in Google Tag Manager configuration, debugging, and optimisation.
- Proven experience with React and modern front-end frameworks.
- Awareness of Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) and regulations (GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy).
- Exposure to Terraform and Kubernetes for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with MarTech tools (Firebase, Google Ads, Meta, Criteo) is not essential but would be an advantage.
What we’ll offer you: We trust people to do their best work. That means flexibility over rigid rules, impact over activity, and real investment in your growth both professionally and personally. You’ll be part of a supportive, and friendly culture, surrounded by smart, curious people who care deeply about what they do. We offer flexible working, including hybrid and remote options. Our office hubs are located in Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, London and Bulgaria, with occasional travel to client sites or CreateFuture offices when needed. We trust you to manage your time balancing collaboration with client time and focused work. What matters is the impact you have, not how busy you look.
Our hiring process: We try to keep our hiring process clear, fair and respectful of your time. We aim to get back to everyone who applies and we will be upfront about where you are in the process. It usually looks like this:
- Call with our Talent Acquisition Team
- Role specific capability interview

If you need any adjustments or support during the application process, we will do what we can to help. We look forward to your application!
