We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Developer to join the Menswear team for our client, a contemporary fashion brand known for modern, stylish clothing, sharp tailoring, and high-quality, timeless pieces. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving the sourcing and product development strategy across menswear, working closely with Design, Merchandising, Buying and Technical teams to manage the critical path and deliver departmental targets.

You will play a key role in maintaining a strong, innovative and commercially competitive supply base, while building and nurturing strategic supplier relationships. As Senior Product Developer, you will take ownership of product pricing and margin achievement, ensuring all styles meet target margins without compromising the original design vision. You will lead supplier selection, negotiate cost prices, and ensure detailed cost breakdowns are engineered to the required price point.

From assessing raw material costs with fabric teams to cross-costing styles and negotiating delivery dates in line with merchandising requirements, you will ensure product placement and profitability are optimised from the outset. You will manage development from concept to seasonal buy meetings — sending out development specifications, chasing samples, attending fit meetings where required, and monitoring any changes that impact cost or lead time.

Alongside this, you will conduct regular supplier appraisals, support corrective action plans, and proactively strengthen supplier partnerships through clear communication, factory visits and fabric fairs. Working under the guidance of the Head of Product Development, you will collaborate with creative teams to develop new and exciting ranges within your categories.

The ideal candidate will have previous menswear product development experience within a head office environment and a strong understanding of the critical path. You are highly organised, detail-oriented, commercially aware and confident negotiating with suppliers. A clear communicator who can prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment, you are both self-motivated and a collaborative team player.
