We are recruiting on behalf of a contemporary London-based fashion brand for an experienced Freelance Logistics & Operations Coordinator to join their East London studio. This is an ongoing, full-time freelance opportunity (5 days per week, office-based) within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing wholesale shipments, logistics, and inventory across both wholesale and e‑commerce channels, with a deep understanding of operational workflows within a premium fashion brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of wholesale shipments, from order confirmation through to final delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams and 3PL partners to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of seasonal and replenishment orders.
- Understand and execute customer‑specific requirements, including custom labelling, barcoding, packaging specifications, delivery windows, routing guides, compliance with international shipping documentation and invoicing standards.
- Maintain proactive communication with wholesale clients to confirm shipping details, resolve issues, and provide tracking updates.
- Ensure wholesale orders are accurately reflected across ERP (Zedonk) and WMS systems.
- Oversee all logistics and transportation activities across wholesale and e‑commerce.
- Manage inbound shipments for production and outbound deliveries to wholesale clients and e‑commerce customers.
- Liaise closely with 3PL partners to ensure on‑time, accurate fulfilment.
- Maintain accurate stock records across ERP (Zedonk) and WMS platforms; monitor inventory levels and align with sales and production timelines.
- Support cross‑functional teams with logistics for gifting, press loans, and staff orders, ensuring all movements are properly documented and reported.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives within logistics and operations; negotiate rates and manage relationships with couriers and freight partners.
- Streamline and integrate existing operational processes to improve efficiency.
- Serve as the key point of contact for customs‑related matters; manage and optimize customs processes, including bonded warehouse operations and documentation.
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in logistics, operations, or wholesale coordination within a fashion or consumer goods environment.
- Proficient in ERP and WMS systems (experience with Zedonk highly desirable).
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced studio environment.
