Garment Technologist – Childrenswear

Our client, a branded fashion business, is looking for an experienced Children Technologist to join their growing Technical team.

As a Garment Technologist, you will work across various categories, across boyswear and girlswear, ranging from toddler through to teen, conducting regular fit sessions throughout the development cycle. Liaising with Design, Production and Sourcing teams you will offer technical guidance and support on your departments. Regular supplier communication around production methods, costings and quality standards and applying ‘best practise.’

You will be responsible for style/block development, constant product review and driving product forward in terms of fit and quality. As part of this role you will carrying out any necessary testing around product safety, feasibility and other risk assessments.

To apply, you must have previous extensive knowledge on Toddler and Older Children and have a clear understanding on apparel manufacturing processes and garments construction, experience of dealing with factories directly. You must be highly organized with excellent prioritization skills & be able to work with set timelines. A comprehensive understanding on Garment’s fit, pattern, size grading & grade rules is essential. Pattern-cutting knowledge and practise is desirable. An excellent eye for technical details is necessary, to ensure products meet the industry standards.

Our client operates full-time working hours from their studio in North London.
