The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially minded, analytical and highly motivated Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in Farringdon. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with operational teams, providing meaningful financial insight and supporting business performance through high-quality reporting and analysis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the preparation of management accounts, ownership of month‑end reporting processes, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow reporting and business partnering across the organisation. You will be someone who enjoys understanding the story behind the numbers, challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting stakeholders to make informed business decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
  • Managing key month‑end processes including accruals, prepayments and journal postings
  • Producing meaningful variance analysis and financial commentary
  • Supporting operational and clinical leaders to understand financial performance and cost drivers
  • Partnering with stakeholders to improve cost control and operational efficiency
  • Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring financial accuracy
  • Supporting cash flow reporting and analysis of working capital movements
  • Providing financial input into business and operational projects
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to reporting, controls and finance processes
  • Managing and developing the Assistant Management Accountant
  • Acting as a key link between Finance, Operations and FP&A teams

What We're Looking For

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience preparing management accounts within a commercial environment
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge
  • Experience supporting month‑end close processes
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
