Business Development Manager

Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager builds and grows B2B partnerships driving referrals into IVI London from both doctors and companies. You develop strong relationships with health professionals, medical groups and commercial partners by promoting IVF services in a clear and accurate way. You support the wider business by opening new channels that increase patient referrals and revenue.
Duties and Objectives
Business Development
- Plan and complete structured visits to health professionals, medical groups, insurers, corporate partners and referrers.
- Explain treatments, pathways and service quality to external partners.
- Develop a trusted network across gynaecology, general practice, corporate health providers, insurers, embassies and specialist care groups.
- Identify new partnership opportunities in the UK private health market.
- Organise clinical workshops and small scientific events for referrers.
- Attend national and international conferences and represent the organisation.

- Support referred patients and ensure a smooth journey from enquiry to booking.
- Track partner activity and follow up on referrals to improve conversion.
- Maintain accurate records of visits, outcomes and pipeline activity.
- Prepare reports for leadership showing progress, risks and next actions.
- Monitor and manage the B2B budget.
Commercial Growth
- Grow referral volume across all partner groups.
- Onboard new referrers and maintain structured communication with active partners.
- Improve conversion from referral to consultation.
- Support marketing teams with local campaigns and events.
- Monitor competitor activity across the fertility market.
- Provide insight to senior leaders on trends and opportunities.
Leadership
- Work as an individual contributor while building the foundation for a future BDM team.
- Support the design of partner processes, reporting structures and territory plans.
- Share knowledge with colleagues to build capability within Operations and Marketing.
General Responsibilities
- Work closely with clinical, operations and marketing teams to ensure accurate messaging.
- Follow internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Support internal projects linked to business growth and patient experience.
- Complete all required training.
Key Results / KPIs
- Referral volume growth across all partner categories.
- Conversion rate from referral to consultation.
- Number of partner visits completed each week.
- New partners onboarded each quarter.
- Revenue linked to B2B channels.
- Activity accuracy and timeliness in CRM reporting.
- Event delivery and attendance performance.
- Partner satisfaction measured through feedback.

Experience / Personal Expectation
- Experience in business development or field‑based commercial roles in healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of private medical networks and referral models.
- Experience promoting clinical services in a regulated setting.
- High level of professionalism when engaging with senior clinicians.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience within fertility or women’s health.
- Experience organising clinical events or educational workshops.
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Degree in business, life sciences or a related field.
