The Clinical Fellow in IVF and Reproductive Medicine at CREATE Fertility UK is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within the field of reproductive medicine. This role involves direct involvement in clinical management, performing procedures, and supporting the overall success of the clinic by ensuring the safety, satisfaction, and success of patients undergoing fertility treatment.
Duties and Objectives:
- Collaborating with the medical team to ensure effective clinical management of patients
- Independently performing consultations, ultrasound scans, egg collections, embryo transfers, and other relevant procedures following clinic protocols or in process of training towards competency
- Providing safe and high-quality care to patients at all times
- Demonstrating resilience and the ability to deliver exceptional patient care under pressure
- Being available for emergency call-outs, weekend shifts, and Bank Holiday duties as scheduled
- Contributing to a rota system to ensure efficient and consistent clinical service delivery
- Conducting regular audits to uphold high success rates and minimize clinical complications and incidents
- Working collaboratively as a key team member to meet clinical objectives
- Attending clinical and relevant meetings, ensuring the implementation of follow-up actions
- Actively participating in research, training, and audit activities
- Engaging in both clinical and research discussions and meetings
- Operating under the supervision of the Medical Director
- Maintaining a focus on patient satisfaction, safety and successful outcomes at all times
- Being adaptable with working hours and arrangements as required
- Complying with HFEA and other regulatory standards
- Leading or supporting Open Evenings as needed

Qualifications:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MBBS or Equivalent): A recognised medical degree is essential.
- Full Registration with the GMC (General Medical Council): You must be fully registered and licensed to practice medicine in the UK.
- Completion of Foundation Training: Successful completion of the two-year foundation programme (FY1 and FY2) is usually required.
- Specialist Training: Completion of Core Medical Training or Equivalent: Candidates should have completed core medical training (CMT) or equivalent, such as internal medicine training (IMT) or obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) training.
- Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology: Significant experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, usually through specialty training in this area, is necessary.
- Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) or Equivalent: While not always mandatory, holding an MRCOG or equivalent qualification is highly advantageous and often expected.
- Experience in Reproductive Medicine or IVF: Previous clinical experience in reproductive medicine, fertility treatments, or assisted reproductive technologies (ART) is usually required.
- Surgical Skills: Proficiency in relevant surgical procedures, such as ultrasound-guided egg collection and embryo transfer, is beneficial.
- Strong clinical skills in managing patients undergoing fertility treatments.
- Experience in conducting or contributing to clinical research and audits is often desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, often in a high-pressure environment.
- Good organisational and time-management skills to handle the demands of the role.
