Location: Barking, East London

Start Date: September 2026 (First week back)

Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term to Permanent Opportunity

Pay: 93 - 118 per day (depending on experience and PAYE or Umbrella)

Create Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Barking to recruit 2 experienced Co-Educators (SEN Teaching Assistants) to join their team from September. These positions will be based within Year 1 and Year 2 classes, supporting pupils with complex additional needs in a highly specialised learning environment.

This is an incredibly rewarding role but it is also physically and emotionally demanding. We are looking for resilient, energetic and experienced SEN professionals who are passionate about making a genuine difference to children’s lives.

The Role

You will be working alongside experienced teachers and therapists to support pupils who:

  • Are non-verbal and communicate using a variety of alternative communication methods.
  • Have complex learning needs and require high levels of individual support throughout the school day.
  • Require full personal care and hygiene support.
  • Benefit from structured routines, sensory activities and consistent encouragement.

The school is looking for individuals who can maintain high energy, work at pace and remain calm and positive in a busy classroom environment.
